My Cartoons

I have a collection of cartoon characters that I present to you thusly. A lot of these characters were created by me, James Scotto-Lavino, or Sean Lydon. We drew a lot of comics together in high school. All of the following pictures were drawn by me... a while ago.

Anvilman
Anvilman is a character created by Sean Lydon. He has an I-beam type thing for his head, and an "I" on his chest, but his name is Anvilman. He's a pretty stupid character, but fun to draw.

The Baseball Bat that Hit People
I think he was created by Sean. He's one of our oldest comics. Basically this bat hovers around and decapitates human beings. He's technically evil, but he's actually a pretty nice guy.

FishPukeMan
I created this character at MIT. He is supposedly composed of fish vomit. I'm not even sure if fish do vomit. He's my favorite guy to draw because of his smile. I even drew a comic and submitted it to MIT's humor magazine, VooDoo. (It was published in the Winter 1994 issue.)

Herman, the Eagle-Eyed, Whip-Wielding Idiot
James Scotto Lavino's creation. This character is incredibly stupid and fights villains (or whatever he perceives as villains.) He is the deadliest man in the world with a whip, and his eyes telescope outward and allow him to see for miles.

Joe, James, and Sean
Yes, these are cartoon versions of the three of us. We have eight composition notebooks full of these drawings, and eventually we became main characters in our own comics. I also have a larger picture of us, as well as the inside front cover of book 7.

The Library Squad
These people fight for truth, justice, and the elimination of overdue bookholders. Saber, Flash, Brain, Shadow, and Faces. I created these characters when I learned a friend of mine was a member of his school's "Library Squad".

Majickal Mistery Moronn
James Scotto Lavino's character. This guy is supposed to be colossally stupid, yet is not.

Nimbo, the toy robot
My character. He was a toy robot but has an endearing tale about how he was brought to life. His sole purpose seems to be to tell people his story. (Not unlike people who spend a lot of time writing home pages.)

Panelman
My character. This guy was invented as a lark a while ago when I thought it would be nifty if one character could open up and travel outside of the cartoon panels. He was originally a very sweet-looking innocent of sorts, but eventually his power made him realize that his life was fictitious. He went insane for a while.

Pueblo, the last dinosaur
My character. This was originally supposed to be a parody of Denver the Last Dinosaur, a cartoon character from 1989 or so. Whereas Denver, a dinousaur in modern day America, befriends children, Pueblo, more realistically, eats them. No that's not a building on his head. Okay, yes, he seems to be smoking a cigar in this picture. He's trying to quit.

Theta Doubledot
My dude. This guy was born in my undergraduate controls class and has been following me around ever since. "Theta Doubledot" is basically a measure of angular acceleration (like what happens when you change speeds on your record player if you had a record player). Anyway, seeing this little smiley face in my notes eventually wore away at my mind and I promoted him to full cartoon status. You should see his nemesis, the evil Theta Dotsquared.

The Fokin Bitch Project
This is a comic I drew about me, James and Sean.

Another Bunch of Characters
In my freshman year I drew a picture of my dorm-mates. It was a parody of our 1992-3 Entry Photo . Please, compare and contrast. I am the one with the shirt that says "Universally Stupid" on it.
